Swim Spa FAQs
What is a swim spa?
A swim spa combines a swimming pool and a hot tub in one unit. Powerful adjustable current jets let you swim continuously against resistance without needing pool-length space, while a separate hydrotherapy zone gives you the seated jet massage of a traditional hot tub. It’s a swimming pool and hot tub combo that works for fitness, therapy, and relaxation in a single footprint.
Is a swim spa the same as a swimming pool and hot tub combo?
Functionally, yes. A swim spa delivers what you’d otherwise need two separate installations for: a compact swim current area for exercise, and a warm seated area for unwinding. It takes up far less garden space than a pool plus a separate hot tub, and runs on one heating and filtration system.
Can I get a small swim spa if I don’t have a large garden?
Yes. Our 13ft swim spas are the most compact in the range, offering the swim current and hydrotherapy combination in a footprint closer to a large hot tub than a pool. If you want more swimming distance, the 14 & 15ft and 16ft models step up from there, with 19ft models at the top of the range for serious swimmers.
Are Jacuzzi swim spas better than other brands?
Our Jacuzzi® swim spas bring the same hydrotherapy engineering as their hot tub range, including the PowerPro™ and PowerActive™ collections with infrared and red light therapy exclusive to Jacuzzi®. We also stock Sun & Soul swim spas as a strong alternative if you want a lower entry price without giving up build quality, so the right choice depends on your budget and how much you’ll use the swim function versus the hydrotherapy side.
Can I see a swim spa in person before buying?
Yes, our Cornwall and Devon showrooms display swim spas alongside our hot tub range, and wet testing can be arranged by appointment so you can feel the current strength before committing.
