Eden Hot Tubs have delivered hundreds of hot tubs across Cornwall and Devon and we consider our delivery team to be heroes that go above and beyond every day! We always work closely with our customers to ensure the delivery is convenient, safe and installed in the best way possible.

The delivery process begins with a site survey which is FOC and carried out pre or post-sale. The site visit dictates the type of delivery: Manual handling or crane delivery.

We can often avoid a physical site survey with a simple video via WhatsApp.

Site Visit

A hot tub site access visit can be carried out before purchase if you are unsure about how a hot tub will get into your garden or post-sale as a way to ensure delivery day goes smoothly. Our team will talk you through what is involved in a delivery, common situations that can cause difficulties on the day and what kind of access your home has. Don’t worry, our site visits are free of charge and part of our sales process.

 

Type of Hot Tub Delivery

Hot tub deliveries take all different shapes and sizes. We have pulled hot tubs on tractors, carried them up stairwells and even used a barge to cross a river! Despite these unique scenarios, most hot tub deliveries fall into one of two categories; Manual and crane.

 

Manual Hot Tub Delivery (via a sled)

The majority of hot tubs are delivered on their side, on a Spa Dolly Cart with pneumatic tires, which is part of our Spa Dolly Delivery Trailer. Our vehicle and trailer measures approximately 7m so it is important to ensure that we have space to park near the location upon arrival. We also have use of a Spa Sled which is good for tight sideways or gaps where the dolly cart is too wide.

 

Crane / Hiab Delivery

If your hot tub cannot be delivered using our Spa Dolly Cart or Sled then we are able to use a hiab or crane depending on the length of the lift. Crane lifts are generally for large lifts (e.g. over houses) and hi-ab lifts are usually for small lifts (e.g. over walls or fences). Potential crane lifts will be discussed with your salesperson on purchasing your hot tub or during the site visit. The things that prevent crane lifts are telephone and power lines that run near the area of the lift, weak driveways that could be damaged if a crane is based on them and the length of the lift. All these issues can be discussed with a crane company on a site survey. We have a list of lifting partners that we work with and can recommend. Please note that crane/hi-ab costs are NOT included and customers must pay crane companies direct.

 

Delivery times

The current lead time can be as short as 1-2 weeks for a hot tub that is in stock. For special orders the lead time can be up to 12 weeks. Please contact us to find out lead times on hot tubs.

Yes our team set up your tub completely on delivery, including a comprehensive guide on the control panels and water maintenance.

Delivery is free when you purchase a hot tub from Eden Hot Tubs unless there are any special circumstances such as crane hire or unique obstacles that require special attention or extra machinery/labour. This will all be discussed with you and explained and agreed during your purchase and follow-up site visit.

Yes hot tubs can be lowered into the ground but you would need to prepare this yourself and it must have good drainage to prevent flooding the electrical equipment, as well as access to the service compartment. We are happy to liaise with you or your builder to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Hot tubs do not need a direct water supply and they are filled through a regular garden hose.

Absolutely! it is your choice where your spa goes. We will however offer advice and make you aware of things to consider; such as, privacy from neighbours, room for covers to lift unhindered, overhanging trees etc.
